Saboro - The Urban Vibe

With about a dozen options of restaurants with healthy menu popping up every day, there’s a new baby shaping up our fitness game. Saboro, a cafe in Churchgate, will offer healthy salads, juices, shakes and more to amp you up after your next visit to the gym. The restaurant, will only accommodate around a dozen people, the interiors are casual and comfortable with cushioned chairs and high tables.

The menu will showcase interesting salads like Bean Corn Salad, Greens Salad, Cold Press Juices, Smoothies, Fruit Bowls,Hummus, Zucchini boat and more.

The Saboro brand of fruits launched about two years ago by Mahindra currently has apples, bananas and dairy in its portfolio. “Saboro is expected to have a turnover of ₹50 crore in the next three years. The country-wide Parsi- Irani restaurant and bar chain, opened in Thane on Thursday, September 15. This all-day restaurant has been inspired by Mumbai’s old school Irani cafes.The menu is said to be the same as Bandra Kurla Complex outlet.One can find a lot of traditional Irani- Parsi dishes like mutton dhansak; salli mutton; chicken baida roti; Bohri kheema pao; and brinjal patio. The restaurant will also have a bakery that will retail ginger biscuits; mawa cake; lagan nu custard; and apple crumble with custard.

Deo’s revamped and is now trying to be a cool Asian Bistro with a great interiors and urber cool vibes. They have Signature Cocktails and their high-seating, multi-layered roof top, it’s all built to take you higher. Quite literally! The revamped decor of this new-age restaurant is apparently different and sheds all conventions that you would hold for a traditional South Asian eatery.
From its stylish Black-White & Gold-Pink Interiors, and a rooftop seating, to the life-sized Buddha Statue seated right in the centre, the place resembles to be a perfect balance that takes you from Upstairs to infinity.

Offer you cannot refuse: Every drink you order of the same brand after the first one, is cheaper than the one you drank before. It reaches to the point that the 4th drink you or your group orders is completely free! Now your party can drink up as much as they like, because, in every round of 4 drinks, the drinks keep getting cheaper and the last one is absolutely free.

The menu includes dishes that have originated from 15 destinations like Thailand, Japan or Vietnam, which are the epicentres of Asian cuisine around the globe. Chef Specials include Som Tom, a traditionally made raw papaya salad with a tang of spice & tart; Mo Mi Kinh, a delicately flavoured dish consisting of Vietnamese glass noodles seasoned the chef’s ultra-confidential ingredients to make it unforgettable for the taste buds. They have put together some lip-smacking dishes which are a mix of classic as well as some dishes with a modern twist.



Revamped with a new menu at affordable price, making it a place for any and every! Shamiana is an all day restaurants more like a café in the lobby of the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, revamped and reopened last month with a modernized look and multi-cuisine menu in a bid to draw a younger crowd.

Highlights of the menu are the Taj Autograph section, a selection of signature dishes by Taj chefs across the globe including Cobb salad; chicken bunny chow; and fish and chips; and the Via Bombay section that offers kheema pao; pao bhaji which was always there will be priced at a reasonable price; and prawn patio and many more.

Kailash Parbat

kailash-prabhatA chain of casual-dining Indian restaurants best known for its chaat and Sindhi specialities has a new outlet with revamped interiors, fusion gourmet menu and a bar menu in Bandra . The updated food menu features chipotle palak chaat; cone mein corn; pao bhaji fondue; and Amritsari chole fondue. Aren’t you done with too much fusion happening already?

But its fine, this bar, the first in a Kailash Parbat will be functional from Wednesday, September 21 and serve delectable house cocktails like the jeera whisky sour; Sharabi Lassi; and pani puri Long Island Ice. Expect some twisted cocktails, saluting the legacy of khatta-meetha chaats,gulkand loaded paan and spicy pani puris!

Pass Code Only

Delhi’s popular speakeasy Pass Code Only, better known as PCO, will debut in Mumbai in the form of a ten-day pop-up bar at Ellipsis, the modern American restaurant in Colaba, from Friday, September 16 to Sunday, September 25. PCO bartenders will serve a selection of the establishment’s most-loved cocktails such as the Old Fashioned; elderflower spritzer; whisky sour; gin and tea; and mood cocktail (tailored according to the customer’s mood) at Ellipsis, which will continue serving its a la carte alcohol menu.
